Stoke will be Fuller confidence

The Merseyside derby is always a highly-fueled, passionate affair. And this one won’t be any different as both teams could really do with the win.

Liverpool are trying to break back into the top four and Everton need to keep themselves in the top half of the table if they want to be serious top six contenders. Last time around I fancied there to be a red card (which didn’t happen) but I’d still say it’s worth a punt at 13/5 from Betfair. Liverpool won 2-0 in the reverse fixture at Goodison Park, but since then Everton haven’t lost a game in the league. Although this will probably give it the kiss of death, I’d take Everton to cause an upset and win it at 7/2.

Stoke to impress against Blackburn?

Stoke to impress against Blackburn?

There’s one pattern I’ve noticed with Tottenham and Aston Villa. Goals. Lots of them. Not necessarily when they meet (last time around it was 1-1) but certainly elsewhere. If you look at Villa’s last four games, there were 17 goals. This season, Spurs have already had three 5-1 wins, a 5-0 and that infamous 9-1 victory over Wigan. With that said, odds of 13/5 for 4 goals or more from Betfair are very generous. I’d even be tempted to take 5 or more at 13/2 (roll on the 0-0).

Blackburn have been shaky on the road and haven’t won away since November at Bolton. Stoke have put in some good performances at home recently, beating Fulham, drawing with Liverpool and knocking Arsenal out of the FA Cup. Ricardo Fuller grabbed two of the goals in that 3-1 win. Back him to score first in this at 11/2 from Ladbrokes.

Here’s this week’s accumulator and 10 x trebles:

Everton to win

Stoke to win

Man United to win

Birmingham to win

West Brom to win
