Georgie ThompsonAny self-respecting football fan watches it; it’s the staple diet of any follower of sport and the best way to keep up with up-to-the-minute news, results and highlights etc. And as long as you have some form of digital receiver you can watch it 24/7. It is, of course, Sky Sports News: Sky’s ever-rolling conveyor belt of sporting digest.

But there’s another reason to stay tuned, if you’re male at least. Because, combined with cavenous mind tanks packed with sporting knowledge, the Sky Sports News girls ain’t bad looking either.

Putting their knowledge aside for just a minute though, let’s concentrate on their looks. Shallow you say? Bah. Superficial? Lighten up, will ya? Forget Alex Quinn’s horsey tips, let’s muse over her cutie-pie boatrace. Never mind Georgie Thompson’s encyclopedic knowledge of egg chucking for a mo…let’s ogle at her divine beauty.

In a nutshell, let us celebrate these beautiful vixons of sporting telly. You can vote for your favourite at the end of this blog.

Note: If you consider this blog to be in any way sexist please close down this site and log onto the Independent instead.

Alex Quinn

Alex Quinn (formerly Hammond until she crazily got married) is the channel’s racing expert. This horsey cutie knows a thing or two about the gee-gees and regularly gives out racing tips.

Her knowledge of horses helped her become a founding member of The Racing Channel, before appearing on Talksport Radio’s horse show and later onto At The Races. She also writes a column for the Daily Mail.

She’s a Yorkshire lass hailing from Sheffield, but she was brought up in rural Derbyshire.

Our tip: this filly looks good on any type of ground.

Charlotte Jackson

You strike gold with an image search for this girl…she used to be a model. Returned are countless glamour shots, most of them too saucy for a family football website like ours. Ahh sod it, who am I trying to kid. If there’s one thing footy fans love more than their footy it’s beer. But then – in a close third – it’s scantily-clad sexy women (4th place is balti pies if you were wondering). So here’s a few shots of her doing what she looks like she was put on this planet to do.

Sky snapped up the Hampshire girl when Setanta went bust. She’s presented shows featuring darts and the 2008 Olympics and appeared on football-related websites, but the most interesting fact about Charlotte is that she is also a singer and backing vocalist, and backed up Tony Christie on a TV appearance of his hit, Is This the Way to Amarillo.

Everyone has their faults I suppose.

Chloe Everton

With a surname like ‘Everton’ Chloe was destined to be on a Sports show. Liverpool fans probably hate her but she has a certain girl-next-door look about her.

Unlike her mate Charlotte above Chloe has never done any modelling, and the images of her are of a more conservative ilk. She appears to have escaped Wikipedia too, but she is on Facebook.

Chloe is a relatively new addition to the SSN team, having previously co-presented ‘You’re on Sky Sports’ with the monstrous gargoyle-like Rob McCaffrey, monitoring the emails and phone calls.

Before that Chloe could be seen flogging an array of garbage on BidTV.

Clare Tomlinson

In the interest of fairness and equality, and because dads might be reading this, here’s the elder stateswoman of SSN, Clare Tomlinson.

She may not have the looks of some of the others, and she ain’t getting any younger, but she could be a handy ally on a pub quiz sports round.

Clare has been talking to the nation’s sport fanatics for more than 10 years now, having previously been touchline reporter on Sky Sports’ Ford Super Sunday, co-presented Goals On Sunday, hosted the Sunday morning football highlights programme, and also been a part of BSkyB’s UEFA Champions League coverage alongside Richard Keys.

Her copybook was blotted once when she was placed on leave from Goals on Sunday for two months following an infamous interview with the Derby County goalkeeper Stephen Bywater, in which he spelled out the much-maligned C-word during an anecdote. Clare’s failure to reprimand the scamp got her into hot water with her bosses.

Georgie Thompson

Now we’re talking. Gorgeous Georgie is the reason why most men will quite happily sit through endless cricket drivel in the close season. Men want her and women want to be her. She’d be the perfect date: stunning, husky voiced, and able to hold an in-depth conversation about the poor run of results suffered by Hartlepool United’s reserve team during the 1994/95 season.

When it was announced that she was dating cheeky Geordie short-arse Declan Donnelly last year you could practically hear a nation’s worth of blokes sigh in a sad combination of disappointment and envy.

Georgie is a keen Fulham supporter…but someone has to. We’ll let her off for being so heart-meltingly alluring.

Millie Clode

Millie is widely regarded as “that other fit bird off of Sky Sports”, with Georgie Thompson (above) usually considered top totty.

Millie’s radiant looks are enough to soften the blow when your team has just lost to Hereford at home. Her lovely smile is enough to eradicate any sadness caused by such an embarrassing defeat.

Away from Sky Sports, viewers of ITV’s nonsensical Colour Of Money quiz show with Chris Tarrant would have seen Millie swanning around in the background wearing a figure-hugging dress. So you win money and get to meet Millie…where do I sign?

Millie is a Celtic supporter just so you know.

Natalie Sawyer

Natalie is in a league of her own…at least where her hair is concerned. She’s the only brunette on the current roster, so fans of raven-haired beauties must spend all day awaiting her slot, if you’ll pardon the expression.

Natalie is a Brentford supporter but Bees fans won’t be happy to learn that she’s gone all Premier League on ‘em since her promotion to sports anchor. She can be seen these days hobnobbing at Goodison Park, dismissing her lower league beginnings.

Di Stewart

This is slightly cheating as Di no longer appears on Sky Sports News – she now hosts Golf Night on Sky Sports. But because she’s candy for the eyes I thought I’d make an exception.

Unfortunately, Di is more concerned with Golf than she is with the beautiful game. But at least she’s good to look at.

Egg-chucking bum-wobbler Johnny Wilkinson thought so too and promply made her his girlfriend a few years back.

Vicky Gomersall

Perhaps not considered as one of the Sky Sports ‘darlings’ Vicky is more your – shall we say – professional-looking anchor. You won’t find her sprawling across any yachts or posing in her bra and panties in front of a mirror similar to the famous pic of Georgie Thompson any time soon (I searched for that particular photo believe me, but the watermark is too apparent to publish more’s the pity).

A keen Liverpool fan (and curiously Cheltenham Town, too) Vicky used to turn out for Fulham ladies and still enjoys the odd five-a-side game. I might ring her. We’re always short.

Which of Sky Sports News' female presenters is the sexiest?

Clare Tomlinson used to be the Press Liasion office at Arsenal, and is therefore obviously the winner.

And she supports Spurs which makes her even more attractive.
